Where to start....

Don't tell me why, but today was the day, the LONG LOST BLOG has been updated....

Well it should go without saying that alot has happened since May 2010, which was indeed our last post. I'll give a very tiny recap, mainly bullet points to fill in the gaps and then one day, I may go into more detail on some of these items, but for now, here is my summary of the last 19 months! hahahaha

August 8, 2010 My brother married his perfect match, Meredith. She is absolutely stunning and fits right in with our family. We have a blast together. She has great style and makes us all laugh, which is a necessary qualification in the Zahorsky family.

In late August 2010 we started a 10 month discipleship class (EQUIP) at our church, Antioch Community Church. This class was incredible, we learned alot about the heart of our Heavenly Father, the power of the Holy Spirit and how we can take Jesus Christ into our everyday experiences.

September 2010 We ventured out to the beautiful city of San Diego, California for a week for David's annual State Games Conference. We had a lot of fun. Watched a Padres game, ate some delicious sushi, rode bikes on the beach, traveled to La Jolla, spent the day at Coronado, etc. This city is absolutely gorgeous, you should go visit.

Christmas 2010 was our first Christmas in our new house, it was super fun! The Zahorsky's celebrated with us in the new house.

February 2011 we adopted a dog from the shelter in town, HANK! He is awesome. Just when I thought I wasn't a "dog-person" this yellow lab mix has proved me wrong. He is so even tempered, great with kiddos and so chill. I LOVE HIM.

March of 2011 we started leading a lifegroup at our church. There are about 7-8 couples that come weekly, and we just talk about Jesus, what he is doing in our lives and how we can respond. This group of people that we get to walk with is so encouraging and life-giving. We love having everyone in our house once a week. It gives me a reason to clean the house!

April 2011 I (Taylor) started shooting weddings on my own! It has been such a blast and I absolutely love it. It is definitely more stressful than any other shoot I have done, but I kinda like the adrenaline rush!

May 2011 We traveled out to Santa Monica, California for a wedding! We were actually the photographers and we got to visit some dear college friends of ours while we were out there. It was wonderful. Our one free day was spent on the beach, riding a ferris wheel, visiting Pepperdine and shopping. Again, this was such a fun trip, grateful for our friends Mandy and Matt Bailey for letting us photograph their wonderful wedding weekend!

June-July 2011 we went to Thailand with about 20 other Equip students. This was a two-week mission trip that ended our discipleship class. It was such a life-changing trip. We saw people healed, the power of the holy spirit transform the lives of some Thai village people and ultimately just opened our eyes to a world we have never experienced. We had a blast. We were stretched in every way, but it was so good.

September 2011 David's beautiful sister, Stephanie married the love of her life, Caleb. We were so blessed to be a part of the wedding day and despite the threatening rains surrounding her wedding, the ceremony and most of the reception were kept dry and cool. It was perfect.

Fall 2011 has been just as busy as the other falls. I really thought it would slow down, but I was wrong. David has been doing what he does best, plan sporting events! And I have been as busy as ever photographing families, engaged couples, seniors and children. I have had the best clients this fall. Truly the Lord has known exactly what I have needed and it has been so fun. As with all photo sessions, save the dates, invitations, christmas cards and even senior announcements have all followed right along, making for a more intense Nov-Dec than I had imagined. But it is pretty much down hill from here.

And of course our BEST NEWS that most of you should know by know, but we are expecting BABY GIRL FORESTER in MARCH 2012. So we are super excited about this. We found this out in early fall and have enjoyed a very easy, no sickness, very exhausted first and second trimester! :)

We'll try to be better bloggers....
